Paige and Stephen returned to their home state of Maine, to be married overlooking beautiful Casco Bay. During an initial visit to the Fat Chick Press workshop, the couple was intrigued by our collection of vintage metal typographic ornaments. They immediately asked whether we could show them invitation options using some of these.

The groom’s choice of stock for the invitation was racing car green, which we letterpress printed in gold, a rich combination for an almost-winter-twilight wedding. We hand set different decorative patterns for each piece, including the envelope liners, and proposed a crisp, modern sans serif typeface to contrast with the hand-set borders.

On the digitally addressed envelopes, to complement the distinctive invitation suite, we suggested a whimsical antique manicule (pointing hand). A fine gold thread provided the finishing touch.
